Children grieving have an uphill battle to face, but because of an ongoing partnership with the residents of Quail West, Valerie's House has helped families rebuild their lives. Started by one local woman who lost her own mother as a 10-year-old, Valerie's House has helped more than 1,000 children in less than five years since opening its doors in SWFL. Referrals from the schools, law enforcement, hospitals and the Department of Veterans Affairs with children who have lost a loved one, many active duty military, continue to pour in to Valerie's House during the pandemic. www.valerieshouse.org Thank you for helping those children who need us this year.
