Alexa Walker Memorial Fund
Alexa was a smart,
funny 13-year-old girl. She was an avid reader and a budding artist who was
fascinated with anime and the Japanese culture. She needed nothing more than a
set of graphite pencils and a blank sheet of paper to entertain herself. She is
greatly missed by her parents, Brent Camp and Amanda Walker, a large extended
family and, most especially, by her three sisters, Abby, Emily and Kinsley.
In Alexa Walker’s memory, her family has organized this fund to ensure no family will ever have to grieve alone. Valerie’s House provides free grief support services to children, young adults, and caregivers who have lost a parent, sibling, or another special person in their lives. Through peer grief support, individual counseling, one-on-one mentoring, personalized family care, and school-based bereavement groups, we’re building a community where No Child Grieves Alone.
“Valerie’s House has already been so helpful to our family and I know they will be a big part of our healing process. I would like to help other grieving families get the same support.”
